Privacy policy

Short version: no public accounts, no ads, no selling data, and your training numbers never leave your browser. Analytics only runs if you say yes.

Last updated .

Your training numbers stay with you

The calculators and the strength standards tool run entirely in your browser. The weights, reps, bodyweight, age band and competition category you enter are not sent to our servers, not added to the page address, not logged and never included in analytics.

Analytics, only with your permission

If you choose Allow analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 to count which pages are read. Until you choose, nothing is loaded and nothing is sent to Google. When it is on:

  • We send page views ourselves, with the page path only. Query strings, page fragments and anything you type are stripped; pages outside the public site (or that don't exist) are reported as a placeholder. The page you arrived from is reported by its site address only, never its path or query.
  • Google's tag runs in your browser, so Google receives standard technical information from it and processes your IP address to provide the service. On our property, Google signals and user-provided data collection are off, granular location and device data collection is off, and ads personalization is disabled in every region.
  • Automatic "enhanced measurement" (scrolls, outbound clicks, form interactions, site search and video) is turned off. We don't use a user ID or cross-site tracking.
  • Google Analytics stores two first-party cookies on www.strengthprogression.com (_ga and _ga_Q8Q6W623YB) that expire 60 days after your last visit with analytics allowed.
  • User- and event-level data are kept for two months in Google Analytics. Aggregated reports, such as monthly page view totals, are not affected by that retention setting.

Google processes this data under its own terms; see Google's privacy policy.

Changing your mind

Open Privacy settings in the site footer at any time (or use this button: ). Withdrawing consent stops collection immediately and deletes the analytics cookies from your browser. You can also clear this site's data in your browser settings.

What your browser stores

  • sp-analytics-consent (local storage): your analytics choice and when you made it, so we don't ask on every page.
  • Your light or dark theme preference (local storage).
  • The analytics cookies above, only if you allowed analytics.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard request information (such as IP address, browser user agent and the page requested) to deliver and secure the site, under Vercel's privacy policy.

What we don't do

  • No public account registration, newsletters or contact forms. A sign-in area exists in the code only as a development preview and is switched off on the live site.
  • No advertising, ad pixels or affiliate tracking.
  • We don't sell personal data or use it for advertising. The only parties that process data for the site are the service providers described above: Vercel to host it, and Google only if you allow analytics.
